The engine number of the 1,586cc, 1,796cc and 1979–84 1,970cc is stamped on a machined pad on the right, front side of the engine block. On the diesel, it is stamped on a machined pad located on the front left side of the block, just above the injection pump. On the 1986 models, it is located on a machined pad on the left front of the block, just behind the distributor. On the Rotary Pick-up Truck, the engine number is located on a pad at the front of the engine housing, behind the distributor.
