To replace the filter, loosen the clamps at both ends of the filter and pull off the hoses. Pop the filter from its clamp.

To replace the filter on diesels, use an oil filter type strap wrench to loosen the filter, then unscrew it. To install the new filter, coat the O-ring with clean diesel fuel and spin the new filter into place until it contacts the mounting base, then turn it 1⁄2 additional turn. Loosen the vent screw and bleed any air using the priming pump.
