Air Gap Adjustment

1979 MODELS

  1. Using a wrench on the crankshaft pulley nut, turn the distributor shaft until one of the high points on the pick-up coil is aligned with the signal rotor face.
  2. Loosen the setscrews and move the pickup coil until the gap between it and the signal rotor is 0.2–0.6mm, measured with a brass or plastic feeler gauge.
  3. Tighten the setscrews and recheck the gap.
