DRAIN & REFILL

1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
2. Place a drain pan below the transfer unit.
3. Remove the drain plug from the transfer unit and drain the oil.
4. When the fluid is completely drained, install the drain plug with a new washer intact. Tighten the drain plug to 28–43 ft. lbs. (39–58 Nm).

5. Remove the check plug from the side of the transfer carrier.
6. Refill the transfer unit with the specified oil.
7. Install the check plug and tighten the plug to 28–43 ft. lbs. (39–58 Nm).
