Oil Pressure Switch

TESTING

1. Detach the single wire harness connector from the oil pressure switch.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON. The oil pressure warning lamp should be off. If not, inspect the wire harness for shorts to ground.

3. Connect an ohmmeter to the pressure switch and a ground to check for continuity.
   1. With the engine OFF, the ohmmeter should read continuity.
   2. With the engine running, the ohmmeter should read no continuity.
4. If not as specified, perform an engine oil pressure test. Refer to Section 3.
5. If the oil pressure reads normal, replace the switch.
