TESTING

1. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature. Allow the engine to run at idle.
2. Hold a long screwdriver against the injector and place an ear down close to the screwdriver handle. Listen for injector operation noise.
3. If no sound is heard, proceed as follows:

   Fig. 2:A noid light can be attached to the fuel injector harness in order to test for injector pulse

   1. Disconnect the injector harness from the injector.
   2. Measure the resistance of the injector with an ohmmeter.
   3. The resistance should be between 12–16 ohms.
   4. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the injector.
   5. If the injector resistance is as specified, inspect the wiring to the injectors and to the control unit terminals.
