Mazda vehicles used both vacuum actuated and electric stepper motor type cruise control systems. The actuator, located in the engine compartment, will have a vacuum line and electrical wires connected to it if it is a vacuum model. Electric stepper motor type units will have no vacuum line connected to the actuator.
