INSTALLATION

Timing Not Disturbed

1. Install or connect the following:
   • Distributor by aligning the matchmarks made during removal
   • Distributor wiring harness connector
   • Distributor cap
   • Negative battery cable
2. Check the ignition timing and adjust as necessary.

Timing Disturbed

1. Set the engine to Top Dead Center (TDC) of the compression stroke for the No. 1 cylinder.
2. Align the matchmark on the drive gear with the matchmark on the distributor housing as shown.

3. Install the distributor with the mounting bolt centered in the mounting flange slot.
4. Install or connect the following:
   • Distributor wiring harness connector
   • Distributor cap
   • Negative battery cable
5. Check the ignition timing and adjust as necessary.
