Oil Pan

Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
Drain the engine oil.
Remove or disconnect the following:
- Negative battery cable
- Engine under cover
- Transmission brackets
- Oil pan
To install:
Install or connect the following:
- Oil pan. Tighten the bolts to 61–86 inch lbs. (7–10 Nm).
- Transmission brackets. Tighten the bolts to 28–38 ft. lbs. (38–51 Nm).
- Engine under cover
- Negative battery cable
Fill the crankcase to the correct level.
Start the engine and check for leaks.

Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
Drain the engine oil.
Attach a support fixture to the engine lifting eyes.
Remove or disconnect the following:
- Negative battery cable
- Air intake duct
- Cooling fan shroud
- Motor mounts
- Lower transmission mount. Support the transmission.
- Oil cooler hose and pipe
- Stabilizer bar brackets
- Transmission brackets
- Oil pan
To install:
Install or connect the following:
- Oil pan. Tighten the bolts to 61–86 inch lbs. (7–10 Nm).
- Transmission brackets. Tighten the bolts to 28–38 ft. lbs. (38–51 Nm).
- Stabilizer bar brackets. Tighten the bolts to 14–18 ft. lbs. (19–25 Nm).
- Oil cooler hose and pipe
- Lower transmission mount. Tighten the bolts to 32–44 ft. lbs. (44–60 Nm) and the nut to 24–33 ft. lbs. (32–46 Nm).
- Motor mounts. Tighten the nuts to 24–33 ft. lbs. (32–46 Nm).
- Cooling fan shroud
- Air intake duct
- Negative battery cable
Fill the crankcase to the correct level.
Start the engine and check for leaks.

Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
Drain the engine oil.
Remove or disconnect the following:
- Negative battery cable
- Subframe transverse section
- Exhaust front pipe
- Flywheel access panel
- Transaxle housing bolts
- Oil pan bolts. Loosen the bolts in reverse of the tightening sequence and in several steps.
- Oil pan
To install:

Apply a bead of silicone sealer to the gasket area where the pan meets the parting lines of the lower cylinder block and the front engine cover.
Install or connect the following:
- Oil pan. Use a new gasket, tighten the pan bolts in several passes to 15–22 ft. lbs. (20–30 Nm), then tighten the transaxle case bolts to 28–38 ft. lbs. (38–51 Nm).
- Flywheel access panel
- Exhaust front pipe
- Subframe transverse section. Tighten the bolts to 69–96 ft. lbs. (94–131 Nm).
- Negative battery cable
Fill the crankcase to the correct level.
Start the engine and check for leaks.
