Oil Pan

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

1997–98 MPV
2 WHEEL DRIVE

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
  2. Drain the engine oil.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

  5. Fill the crankcase to the correct level.
  6. Start the engine and check for leaks.

  3. Attach a support fixture to the engine lifting eyes.
  4. Remove or disconnect the following:

  6. Fill the crankcase to the correct level.
  7. Start the engine and check for leaks.
2000–01 MPV
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
  2. Drain the engine oil.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

  4. Apply a bead of silicone sealer to the gasket area where the pan meets the parting lines of the lower cylinder block and the front engine cover.
  5. Install or connect the following:
  6. Fill the crankcase to the correct level.
  7. Start the engine and check for leaks.
