Wheel Bearing

ADJUSTMENT

All Models

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Front wheel
   • Brake caliper and rotor
3. Position a dial indicator gauge against the wheel hub. Push and pull the wheel hub in and out and measure the end-play of the wheel bearing.
4. End-play should not exceed 0.002 in. (0.05mm).
5. If end-play is excessive, replace the hub retainer locknut and tighten it to specification. Recheck the end-play.
6. If end-play is not within specification, replace the wheel bearing assembly.
