Removal & Installation

To Remove:

CAUTION
Only use Motorcraft YN-12c refrigerant oil, or a suitable equivalent, to lubricate the O-ring seal.

1. Recover the refrigerant.
2. Loosen the clamp, disconnect the crankcase ventilation tube, and then reposition the air cleaner outlet tube.
3. Remove the A/C compressor pressure relief valve.

To Install:

CAUTION
Only use Motorcraft YN-12c refrigerant oil, or a suitable equivalent, to lubricate the O-ring seal.

1. Install the A/C compressor pressure relief valve. Tighten to 45-128 in-lb (5-14.5 Nm).
2. Place the air cleaner outlet tube back into its original position, connect the crankcase ventilation tube, and then tighten the clamp. Tighten to 36-54 in-lb (4-6 Nm).
3. Refill the refrigerant.
