Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
4. Remove the drive belt.
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the generator.
6. Remove the generator.

To Install:

1. Install the generator and bolts. Torque to 29.7-40.3 ft-lb (40.3-54.7 Nm).
2. Connect the electrical connectors for the generator. Torque to 4.9-6.7 ft-lb (6.8-9.2 Nm).
3. Install the drive belt.
4. Install air cleaner outlet tube.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
