Engine Cooling Fan

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt.
3. Using the strap wrench (303-D055), or an equivalent, loosen the mechanical fan nut.
4. Remove the fan and clutch assembly.
5. Remove the bolts.
6. Separate the fan blade from the fan clutch.

To Install:

1. Attach the fan clutch and the fan blade.
2. Install the bolts. Torque to 62 in-lb (7 Nm).
3. Install the fan and clutch assembly.
4. Using the strap wrench (303-D055), or its equivalent, tighten the mechanical fan nut. Torque to 41 ft-lb (55 Nm).
5. Install the accessory drive belt.
6. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe.
