Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connector.
3. Remove the bolts and the IAC valve and the gasket. Throw away the gasket.

To Install:

NOTE: Be sure to install a new IAC gasket.

1. Install a new IAC gasket along with the IAC valve and bolts. Torque to 8 ft-lb (11 Nm).
2. Connect the IAC valve electrical connector.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
