Oil Pump

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
2. Drain the engine oil.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Remove the oil pan.
5. Remove the bolt and oil pump.
6. Clean and examine the oil pump assembly.

To Install:

1. Clean all of the sealing surfaces.
2. Install the oil pump and bolt. Torque to 30-40 ft-lb (40-55 Nm).
3. Install the oil pan.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
5. Fill the engine with the correct type and amount of clean engine oil.
6. Start the vehicle and check for leaks. Repair if necessary.
