Throttle Body

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
3. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve and the throttle position (TP) sensor.
4. Disconnect the accelerator cable and speed control actuator cable.
5. Remove the throttle body.

6. If needed, remove the TB gasket.
7. If needed, remove the IAC valve and IAC gasket.
8. If needed, remove the TP sensor.

To Install:

1. If needed, install the TP sensor.
2. If needed, install the IAC gasket and IAC Valve. Tighten to 88 in-lb (10 Nm).
3. If needed, install the throttle body gasket.
4. Install the throttle body. Tighten to 15-22 ft-lb (20-30 Nm).

5. Connect the accelerator cable and speed control actuator cable.
6. Connect the engine control sensor wiring from the IAC valve and the TP sensor.
7. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
