Power Steering Pump

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Remove the pump pulley.
2. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose.

3. Disconnect the power steering return line hose.
4. Remove the bolts and the power steering pump.

To Install:

1. Install the pump. Tighten to 35 ft-lb (48 Nm).

2. Connect the power steering return hose.
3. Using a Teflon® seal replacer set 211-D027 (special tool #D90P-3517-A) or a suitable equivalent, install a new seal on the power steering pressure hose.
4. Install the power steering pressure hose. Tighten to 35 ft-lb (48 Nm).

5. Install the pump pulley.
6. Fill and leak check the system.
