To Remove:
- Remove the front disc brake caliper anchor plate.
- On 4x4 vehicles ONLY: Remove the brake disc.
- On 4x2 vehicles ONLY: Remove the brake disc and hub.
- If necessary on 4x2 vehicles, resurface the brake disc and hub.
To Install:
- On 4x4 vehicles ONLY: Clean the brake disc then place it on the wheel hub.
- On 4x2 vehicles ONLY: Clean and examine the front wheel bearings and the brake disc and hub. Next, lubricate the front wheel bearings with the correct type of grease and install a new wheel hub grease seal then install the brake disc and hub.
- Tighten the spindle nut as you turn the brake disc and hub. Torque to 21 ft-lb (28 Nm).
- Loosen the spindle nut by turning counterclockwise 175°.
- Tighten the spindle nut while rotating the brake disc and hub. Torque to 17 in-lb (2 Nm).
- On 4x2 vehicles ONLY: Install the nut retainer, cotter pin, and hub grease cap.
- Install the front disc brake caliper anchor plate.
