To Remove:
WARNING
Never remove the radiator cap from a hot engine. Allow the engine to completely cool before removing the radiator cap.
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions.
- Drain the radiator.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
CAUTION
Be careful not to break the fittings on the heater core when removing the hoses.
- Remove the heater hose from between the heater core and the water diverter valve.
- Remove the heater hose from between the water diverter valve and the water pump.
- Remove the heater hose from between the water diverter valve and the water outlet.
To Install:
NOTE: Be sure to lubricate hoses and fittings with Rubber Suspension Insulator Lube (#E25Y-19553-A) or a suitable equivalent.
- Install the heater hose between the water diverter valve and the water outlet.
- Install the heater hose from between the water diverter valve and the water pump.
- Install the heater hose from between the heater core and the water diverter valve.
- Install the air cleaner outlet tube.
CAUTION
Always fill the cooling system with the same type of coolant that was drained from the system. Do not mix coolant types.
- Properly fill the radiator.
