Removal & Installation

To Remove:

CAUTION
Only use Motorcraft YN-12c refrigerant oil, or an equivalent, to lubricate the O-ring seal. Apply pipe sealant with Teflon® D8AZ-19554-A, or a suitable equivalent, onto the threads of the A/C manifold retaining bolt.

1. Recover the refrigerant.
2. Remove the manifold retaining bolt.
3. Remove the A/C compressor pressure relief valve.

To Install:

CAUTION
Only use Motorcraft YN-12c refrigerant oil, or an equivalent, to lubricate the O-ring seal. Apply pipe sealant with Teflon® D8AZ-19554-A, or a suitable equivalent, onto the threads of the A/C manifold retaining bolt.

1. Install the A/C compressor pressure relief valve. Tighten to 45-128 in-lb (5-14.5 Nm).
2. Install the manifold retaining bolt. Tighten to 13-17 ft-lb (17-23 Nm).
3. Refill the refrigerant.
