Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

   CAUTION
   Mark the locations of the spark plug wires before you remove them because the spark plug wires must be connected to the correct ignition coil terminals.

   CAUTION
   To avoid damaging the spark plug wires, twist the spark plug wire boots while pulling up.

2. Disconnect the spark plug wires by squeezing the locking tabs and twisting while pulling up.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector for the ignition coil.
4. Remove the bolts and the ignition coil.

To Install:

1. Install the ignition coil and bolts. Torque to 53 in-lb (6 Nm).
2. Connect the electrical connector for the ignition coil.
3. Connect the spark plug wires using the marks made during removal.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
