Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
4. Remove the drive belt.
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
6. Remove the wiring-harness-to-generator push pin.
7. Remove the bolts and the generator.

To Install:

1. Install the generator and bolts. Torque to 30-40 ft-lb (40-55 Nm).
2. Install the wiring harness-to-generator push pin.
3. Connect the electrical connectors. Torque to 80-106 in-lb (9-12 Nm).
4. Install the drive belt.
5. Install the air cleaner outlet tube.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
