Timing Chain & Sprockets

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Remove the engine front cover and the timing chain tensioner.
2. Line up the timing marks.
3. Remove the bolt.
4. As an assembly, remove the timing chain and timing gears.
5. Remove the timing chain guide.

To Install:

1. Install the timing chain guide. Torque to 10 ft-lb (13 Nm).
2. As an assembly, install the timing chain and timing gears.
3. Install the bolt. Torque to 47 ft-lb (64 Nm).
4. Line up the timing marks.
5. Install the timing chain tensioner. Torque to 89 in-lb (10 Nm).
6. Install the engine front cover.
