Fog Light

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

WARNING
Use care with the halogen bulb because it contains gas that is under pressure. If the glass envelope is scratched or the bulb is dropped, it can shatter. Only handle the bulb by its base and avoid touching the glass envelope.

NOTE: Removing a fog lamp bulb from the fog headlamp for an extended period of time can affect performance of the headlamp because contaminants can enter the fog lamp assembly and settle on the lens and reflector. For this reason the fog lamp bulb should never be removed until just before a new bulb is installed. Never turn the fog lamps on when the bulb has been removed.

  1. Disconnect the fog lamp assembly electrical connector.
  2. Remove the bolts then remove the fog lamp assembly.
  3. Remove the fog lamp bulb, if necessary.

To Install:

  1. Install a new fog lamp bulb, if necessary.
  2. Install the fog lamp assembly and bolts. Tighten the bolts to 36-53 in-lb (4-6 Nm).
  3. Connect the electrical connector.
