- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning
of this section.
- Remove the rear seat cushion and locate the fuel pump connector.
- Disconnect the fuel pump connector.
- Start the engine.
- After the engine stalls, turn the ignition switch OFF.
- After servicing the vehicle, reconnect the fuel pump connector and install
the rear seat cushion.
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning
of this section.
- Remove the fuel pump relay from the relay box, located in the left side
of the engine compartment.
- Start the engine.
- After the engine stalls, turn the ignition switch OFF.
- After servicing the vehicle, reinstall the relay.
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning
of this section.
- Loosen the fuel filler cap to release the pressure in the tank.
- Remove the fuel pump relay connector, located above the accelerator pedal.
- Start the engine.
- After the engine stalls, turn the ignition switch OFF.
- After servicing the vehicle, reinstall the relay and tighten the fuel filler
cap.

- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning
of this section.
- If necessary for clearance, remove the cruise control actuator and position
aside.
- Remove the fuel pump relay from the relay box, located in the right side
of the engine compartment.
- Start the engine.
- After the engine stalls, turn the ignition switch OFF.
- After servicing the vehicle, reinstall the relay and the cruise actuator,
if necessary.
To relieve the fuel system pressure on the 2.5L engine, refer to the 626 procedure.
