- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning
of this section.
- Remove or disconnect the following:
- Negative battery cable
- Cross member
- Sway bar control link
- Sway bar bracket
- Sway bar bushing
- Sway bar
To install:
- Install or connect the following:
- Sway bar and bushings
- Sway bar brackets and torque the bolts to 44 ft. lbs. (60 Nm)
- Sway bar control links and torque the nuts to 44 ft. lbs. (60 Nm)
- Cross member
- Negative battery cable
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning
of this section.
- Remove or disconnect the following:
- Negative battery cable
- Cross member
- Sway bar control links
- Sway bar brackets and bushings
- Sway bar
To install:
- Install or connect the following:
- Sway bar
- Sway bar bushings and brackets. Torque the bolts to 39 ft. lbs. (53
Nm)
- Sway bar control links and torque the nuts to 39 ft. lbs. (53 Nm)
- Cross member
- Negative battery cable
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning
of this section.
- Remove or disconnect the following:
- Negative battery cable
- Splash shields
- Transverse member
- Power steering pressure and return hoses
- Intermediate shaft mounting bolt
- Engine mount member
- Engine mount through bolt
- Shock absorber and spring connecting bolt
- Sway bar links
- Sway bar brackets and bushings
- Sway bar
To install:
- Install or connect the following:
- Sway bar
- Sway bar bushings and brackets. Torque the bolts to 44 ft. lbs. (60
Nm)
- Sway bar control links and torque the bolts to 44 ft. lbs. (60 Nm)
- Shock absorber connecting bolt and torque to 101 ft. lbs. (137 Nm)
- Engine mount through bolt and torque to 44 ft. lbs. (60 Nm)
- Engine mount member and torque the bolts to 68 ft. lbs. (93 Nm)
- Intermediate shaft bolt and torque to 19 ft. lbs. (26 Nm)
- Power steering pressure and return hoses. Torque the fasteners to 43
ft. lbs. (58 Nm)
- Transverse member and torque the bolts to 56 ft. lbs. (76 Nm)
- Splash shields
- Negative battery cable
