- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning
of this section.
- Turn the air suspension switch off, if equipped.
- Remove or disconnect the following:
- Negative battery cable
- Rear wheels and support the rear axle
- Separate the rear spring from the axle and position the spring plate
aside
- Rear spring
To install:
- Install or connect the following:
- Rear spring. Torque the dual bolts to 85 ft. lbs. (115 Nm) and the single
bolt to 66 ft. lbs. (90 Nm).
- Properly position the spring plate and install the U-bolts. Torque the
bolts to 87 ft. lbs. (117 Nm).
- Rear wheels and remove the rear axle support
- Negative battery cable
- Turn the air suspension switch on, if equipped.
