To Remove:
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the engine plug bolt.

- Install the crankshaft timing peg (303-507) and turn the crankshaft pulley bolt to position the number one cylinder at top dead center.

- Remove and throw away the CKP sensor.
- Install an M6 bolt.

To Install:
NOTE: When a crankshaft position (CKP) sensor is removed, it is necessary to install a new one with the alignment tool provided with the new part. This alignment tool comes with a new sensor and cannot be purchased separately.
- Install a new CKP sensor, but do not tighten the bolts yet.
- Adjust the CKP sensor with the alignment tool and tighten the bolts.
- Torque to 62 in. lbs. (7 Nm).
- Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the M6 bolt.

- Install the engine plug bolt.
- Torque to 15 ft-lb (20 Nm).

- Connect the negative battery cable.
