To Remove:
- Raise and support the vehicle.
NOTE: If the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) is difficult to remove, lubricate it with lock lubricant to make removal easier.
- Use the exhaust gas oxygen sensor socket (303-476) to remove the HO2S.
- Apply a light coating of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the HO2S.
To Install:
- Apply a light coating of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the HO2S.
- Install the HO2S using the exhaust gas oxygen sensor socket (303-476).
- Torque to 30 ft-lb (41 Nm).
- Lower the vehicle.
To Remove:
- Remove the right, front wheel and tire assembly.
- Move the right, front fender splash shield to the side.
NOTE: If the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) is difficult to remove, lubricate it with lock lubricant to make removal easier.
- Use the exhaust gas oxygen sensor socket (303-476) to remove the HO2S.
- Apply a light coating of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the HO2S.
To Install:
- Apply a light coating of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the HO2S.
- Install the HO2S using the exhaust gas oxygen sensor socket (303-476).
- Torque to 30 ft-lb (41 Nm).
- Move the right, front fender splash shield back into its original position.
- Install the right, front wheel and tire assembly.
