Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Remove the bolts holding on the snow shield so you can remove the shield.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
3. Remove the accelerator cable and the speed control cable, if present.
4. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor.
5. Remove the bolts and the throttle body.

To Install:

1. Install the throttle body and bolts. Tighten the bolts in the sequence illustrated below.
   • Torque to 89 in. lbs. (10 Nm).

   Throttle body torque sequence (2.3L)

2. Connect the TP sensor.
3. If present, install the accelerator cable and speed control cable.
4. Install the air cleaner outlet tube.
5. Install the snow shield and bolts.
   • Torque to 72 in. lbs. (8 Nm).
