Headlamp Switch

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the bolts on the radio finish panel assembly then remove the assembly.
3. Disconnect and remove the radio bezel assembly.
4. Remove the screws on the hood latch release handle then remove the handle.
5. Remove the screws on the lower instrument panel cover then remove the cover.
6. Remove the bolts on the lower instrument panel reinforcement then remove the lower instrument panel reinforcement itself.
7. If present, move the column gear shift lever aside.
8. Remove the screws on the cluster finish panel then pull out the panel.
9. Disconnect the connectors, then remove the cluster finish panel.
10. Remove the headlamp switch knob then remove the headlamp switch.

To Install:

1. Install the headlamp switch and screws.
   • Torque to 18-26 in. lbs. (2-3 Nm).
2. Install the headlamp switch knob.
3. Connect the connectors and install the cluster finish panel and screws.
   • Torque to 18-26 in. lbs. (2-3 Nm).
4. If present, move the column gear shift lever back into position.
5. Install the lower instrument panel reinforcement and bolts.
   • Torque to 8-10 ft-lb (10-14 Nm).
6. Install the lower instrument panel cover and screws.
   • Torque to 18-26 in. lbs. (2-3 Nm).
7. Install the hood latch release handle and screws.
   • Torque to 25-33 in. lbs. (2.7-3.7 Nm).
8. Install and connect the radio bezel assembly.
9. Install the radio finish panel assembly and bolts.
   • Torque to 18-26 in. lbs. (2-3 Nm).
10. Connect the negative battery cable.
