Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connector.
3. Remove the IAC valve and throw away the gasket.

To Install:

NOTE: Be sure to install a new IAC gasket.

1. Install a new IAC gasket along with the IAC valve and bolts.
   • Torque to 8 ft-lb (11 Nm).
2. Connect the IAC valve electrical connector.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
