Throttle Body

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
3. Remove the bolts holding on the snow shield so you can remove the shield.
4. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor.
5. Disconnect the speed control cable, accelerator cable, and the return spring.
6. Remove the bolts and throttle body.
7. If needed, install a new throttle body gasket and remove the TP sensor.

To Install:

1. If needed, install the TP sensor and a new throttle body gasket.
2. Install the throttle body and bolts.
   • Torque to 89 in. lbs. (10 Nm).
3. Connect the speed control cable, accelerator cable, and the return spring.
4. Connect the TP sensor.
5. Install the snow shield and bolts.
   • Torque to 89 in. lbs. (10 Nm).
6. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
