Instrument Cluster

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

  1. Depower the supplemental restraint system (SRS).
  2. Remove the center instrument panel finish panel by first removing the screws then disconnecting the electrical connectors.
  3. Remove the screws and the hood latch release handle.
  4. Remove the screws and the instrument panel steering column cover.
  5. Remove the bolts and the lower instrument panel reinforcement.
  6. If present, move the column-mounted transmission range selector lever to the side.
  7. Remove the screws and take the instrument cluster finish panel out of the instrument panel.
  8. Disconnect the headlight and the dimmer switch electrical connectors and remove the instrument cluster finish panel and accompanying screws.
  9. If the vehicle has automatic transmission, remove the transmission range indicator.
  10. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the instrument cluster.

To Install:

  1. Install the instrument cluster and connect the electrical connectors.
  2. If the vehicle has automatic transmission, install the transmission range indicator.
  3. Install the instrument cluster finish panel and screws then connect the headlight and dimmer switch electrical connectors.
  4. Place the instrument cluster finish panel into the instrument panel and install the screws.
  5. If present, move the column-mounted transmission range selector lever back to its original position.
  6. Install the lower instrument panel reinforcement and bolts.
