Ignition Switch

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Depower the supplemental restraint system (SRS).
2. Detach the hood latch release handle.
3. Remove the lower instrument panel steering column cover.
4. Remove the instrument panel steering column opening cover reinforcement.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

   NOTE: Make sure the ignition key is in the OFF position.

6. Remove the ignition switch.

To Install:

1. Install the ignition switch.
   • Torque to 53 in-lb (6 Nm).
2. Connect the electrical connector.
   • Torque to 9 in-lb (1 Nm).
3. Install the instrument panel steering column opening cover reinforcement.
   • Torque to 62 in-lb (7 Nm).
4. Install the lower instrument panel steering column cover.
5. Attach the hood latch release handle.
6. Power the SRS.
