Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Safely raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
3. To support the rear axle, use the Hi-Lift Jack.
4. Remove the nuts, U-bolts and spring plate.
5. If present, carefully lower rear axle and remove the rear spring spacer.
6. Remove the nuts and bolts from the spring hangers and then remove the spring.

To Install:

1. Install the spring, then install the nuts and bolts to the spring hangers.
   • Torque to 85 ft-lb (115 Nm).
2. If present, carefully lower rear axle and install the rear spring spacer.
3. Install the nuts, U-bolts and spring plate.
   • Torque to 76 ft-lb (103 Nm).
4. Remove the Hi-Lift Jack from the rear axle.
5. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
6. Safely lower the vehicle.
