Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
4. Remove the accessory drive belt.
5. Remove the nut.
6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
7. Remove the wiring harness-to-generator pin-type retainer.
8. Remove the stud bolt, other bolts, and the generator.

To Install:

1. Install the generator, stud bolt, and other bolts.
   • Torque to 35 ft-lb (47 Nm).
2. Install the wiring harness-to-generator pin-type retainer.
3. Reconnect the electrical connectors to the generator.
4. Install the nut and the accessory drive belt.
5. Install the air cleaner outlet tube.
6. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
