Removal & Installation
To Remove:
Remove the transmission.
Remove the bolts and the flexplate.
To Install:
NOTE:
Special bolts are required for installation. Do not use standard bolts.
Position the flexplate and install the bolts. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown below according to the following steps:
Step 1: Torque to
10 ft-lb (13 Nm)
.
Step 2: Torque to
52 ft-lb (71 Nm)
.
Flexplate tightening sequence (4.0L)
Install the transmission.
