To Remove:
WARNING
The EVAP system contains fuel vapor and condensed fuel vapor. While it is not present in large amounts, it is still very dangerous and could cause an explosion or fire. Disconnect the negative battery cable to reduce the chances of electrical sparks, which could cause an explosion or fire. If you do not follow these instructions, personal injury or vehicle damage may result.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Slide the EVAP canister purge valve off of the bracket.
- Disconnect the vapor tubes and electrical connector.
- Remove the valve.
To Install:
- Install the valve.
- Connect the vapor tubes and electrical connector.
- Slide the EVAP canister purge valve onto the bracket.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Perform the EVAP System Leak Test. (Refer to EVAP System Leak Test procedure.)
- Perform the EVAP Repair Verification Drive Cycle. (Refer to EVAP Repair Verification Drive Cycle procedure.)
