Speed Control Actuator

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the speed control actuator.
3. To remove the speed control cable cap from the speed control actuator, push in the locking arm on the cap then turn the cap counterclockwise.
4. To remove the speed control cable, press the spring retainer and slide the core wire end out of the speed control actuator pulley.
5. Remove the speed control actuator bracket bolt and remove the servo.
6. Remove the bolts and move the speed control actuator bracket away from the speed control actuator.

To Install:

NOTE: The rubber seal must be completely seated onto the speed control cable cap.

1. Place the speed control actuator bracket in its original position and install the bolts.
   • Torque to 80 in. lbs. (9 Nm).
2. Install the servo and the speed control actuator bracket bolt.
   • Torque to 8 ft-lb (11 Nm).
3. Install the speed control cable.
4. Install the speed control cable cap.
5. Connect the speed control actuator.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
