NOTE: All 1978–80 models, except the 626, are equipped with separate voltage regulators that can be adjusted. While all 1981–89 models have IC (integrated circuit) voltage regulators located inside the alternator housing. These are not adjustable, and can only be replaced. All service on IC regulators should be referred to a qualified technician.
