WARNING
When replacing a fuse, always install a new fuse that has the same amperage
capacity as the one that was removed. Make sure the ignition switch is in the
OFF position when making a replacement.
All fuses up to 60 amps are the blade type; these are replaced by simply pulling out the old fuse and pushing in a new one. Always use a proper fuse pulling tool (preferably the one in the fuse box, if so equipped). Fuse box locations are given below.
NOTE: If a fuse blows repeatedly, there is probably a short circuit that will require investigation and repair.
If an 80 amp (main) fuse is to be replaced, the main fuse box must be removed from the engine compartment.
CAUTION
When a main fuse is replaced, always disconnect the negative battery cable first.
Remove the fuse box cover, then unscrew the wire terminal from the main fuse and remove the fuse. Push the new fuse in and connect the wire with the attaching screw. Position the cover and reinstall the fuse box in the engine compartment. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
