Circuit Breakers

Circuit breakers operate in much the same way as a fuse or fusible link, except that they have the ability to be reset after a malfunction has occurred. On the 323, MX-6 and later 626 models, a circuit breaker is used in the joint box to protect the heater blower circuit. On 1986–89 RX-7s, a circuit breaker located in the fuse box protects the heater, air conditioner and rear window defroster circuits. All circuit breakers are reset in the manner described below.
