On 1978–82 GLCs, there is a connector block on the radiator panel, located on the right side of the radiator (inside the engine compartment). On 1983 and later models, the connector block is on the left inner fender panel, behind the battery. Two links connected there are color coded red and green. On the GLC wagon, the fusible link is located between the connector plugs near the battery.
On 1979–85 626s, three fusible links are visible in a box of links and relays mounted on the inner fender panel behind the battery.
The fusible links used on the RX-7 are of the plug-in type and are found only on 1979–85 models. The main bank of fusible links is located inside the engine compartment on the left-side fender near the front suspension tower. There are also two fusible links located near the steering column under the dashboard.
On 1986–89 models, fusible links are replaced by main fuses located in the engine compartment. Their location is described above.
NOTE: Always correct the short in the circuit or the overload before replacing the link, or it will probably melt again.
