- Raise and support the front end on jackstands.
- Check the fluid level and fill it, if necessary.
- Start the engine and let it idle. Turn the steering wheel lock-to-lock,
several times. Recheck the fluid level.
- Lower the vehicle to the ground.
- With the engine idling, turn the wheel lock-to-lock several times again.
If noise is heard in the fluid lines, air is present.
- Put the wheels in the straight ahead position and shut off the engine.
- Check the fluid level. If it is higher than when you last checked it, air
is in the system. Repeat Step 5 until no air is present.
