Bleeding Brake System

DISC BRAKES

  1. Remove the bleeder screw cap from the caliper which is furthest from the master cylinder.

    NOTE: Keep the master cylinder reservoir at least 34 full during the bleeding operation.

  2. Install a vinyl tube over the bleeder screw. Submerge the other end of the clear vinyl tube in a jar half full of clean brake fluid.

  3. Open the bleeder valve. Have an assistant fully depress the brake pedal and allow it to return slowly.
  4. Repeat this operation until air bubbles cease flowing into the jar.
  5. Close the valve, remove the tube, and install the cap on the bleeder valve. Replenish the reservoir to the proper level and repeat the procedure for the other side.
