INSPECTION

1. Measure the lateral run-out of the disc with a dial indicator while the disc is still installed on the spindle.

   NOTE: Be sure that the wheel bearings are adjusted properly before checking run-out.

2. If run-out exceeds specification, replace or resurface the disc.

3. Inspect the surface of the disc for scores or pits and resurface it, if necessary.
4. If the disc is resurfaced, its thickness should be no less than the figure shown in the Brake Specifications Chart.
