Wheel Cylinders
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
Remove the brake drums and shoes as detailed previously.
Disconnect the hydraulic line from the wheel cylinder by unfastening the flare nut on the rear of the backing plate. Use a flare nut wrench.
Plug the line to prevent dirt from entering the system or brake fluid from leaking out.
Unfasten the nuts which secure the wheel cylinder to the backing plate and remove the cylinder.
To install:
Attach the wheel cylinder to the backing plate and install the attaching nuts.
Unplug the fluid lines and connect them to their respective connections on the rear of the backing plate.
Install the brake drums. Bleed the hydraulic system and adjust the brake shoes after installation is completed.
