To align the to-and-fro position of the hatch, loosen the hinge attaching
bolts on both the hatch and the body.
To adjust the hatch's up-and-down position, loosen the hinge attaching bolts
on the hatch, as well as the lock and striker attaching bolts.
To adjust the hatch for closing, move the lock and striker.
Make all necessary adjustments by moving the hatch in the appropriate directions
for the desired adjustments and tighten the attaching bolts. Open and close
the hatch several times to ensure proper operation.
Open the rear glass hatch and remove the upper portion of the weather strip.
Remove the rear end of the top ceiling and the rear header pads.
Close the rear hatch and loosen the hinge attaching nuts from the inside
of the vehicle. Move the hatch as required until it is evenly aligned with
the with the body lines. Once alignment is achieved, tighten the nuts.
Install the remaining components in reverse of the removal procedure. Open
and close the hatch several times to ensure proper operation.
