Load Sensing G-Valve

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

4-Wheel Drive Pickups
  1. Raise and support the front end on jackstands.
  2. Disconnect and cap the brake lines.
  3. Remove the valve mounting bolts.
  4. Install the new valve, tighten the bolts, connect the brake lines and bleed the system.
  5. Adjust the inclination angle of the valve:
    1. Place the truck on level ground.
    2. Make sure that there is no cargo in the truck and no people.
    3. Fill the tires to the recommended inflation pressure.
    4. Attach angle gauge 49 U043 003, or equivalent, to the valve. The correct angle should be 7°± 1 12 °. If not:
    5. Loosen the mounting bolts and move the valve until the angle is correct.
    6. Tighten the bolts.

  1. Raise and support the front end on jackstands.
  2. Disconnect and cap the brake lines.
  3. Remove the valve mounting bolts.
  4. Install the new valve, tighten the bolts, connect the brake lines and bleed the system.
  5. Adjust the inclination angle of the valve:
    1. Place the van on level ground.
    2. Make sure that there is no cargo in the van and no people.
    3. Fill the tires to the recommended inflation pressure.
    4. Attach angle gauge 49 U043 003, or equivalent, to the valve. The correct angle should be 8 12 °± 1°. If not:
    5. Loosen the mounting bolts and move the valve until the angle is correct.
    6. Tighten the bolts.
